Olympic Airlines and other Carriers are required by

immigration authorities "Advance Passenger Information"
(API) (passport and associated information) prior to
flight departure. The agencies and authorities involved
will use API and PNR information collected from European
and other carriers for the purposes of preventing and
combating terrorism and other transnational serious
crimes.
